It's also known for being one of the hiding spots for Dick Turpin before he was sentenced at York, some 19 miles from the Comus. The barn has tastefully been transformed to modern accommodation but not without keeping its character and heritage. You will find in every room where is original beams of beautiful wood which were originally floor joists. York and Selby boast some extremely great shopping, nightlife and museums. Selby is the only town in the UK to have its own Abbey which is beautiful and free to enter. Travelling to Selby takes approximately 10 mins and York around 30 minutes.
